Careerbuilder Party

This past Thursday, Careerbuilder threw their clients a party at the W Hotel. It was very swanky! Every bar had free drinks, and there was a ton of food! There were people there from all over because their was a staffing convention being held in San Diego. There was also a "Swag Room" where we got to pick 5 items to take home for free! I grabbed sweatpants, T-shirt, sunglasses, and shorts and t-shirt for Kev. All in all it was a fun time. This is Lauren and I at our house before we headed out!

This is our Controller Timo. I zoomed in as close as I could get to capture the real "essence" of Timo :) Love it!

Here are some of the girls in my office. Me, Victoria, Jen, Lauren and Cyndi

My neighbor Becky was headed to a Halloween party with her son Brett. He was dressed up as a rocker dude! He was sporting a mohawk and his T-shirt said "Metallikid" It was awesome!

Well, we watched the Buckeye's lose to Penn State on Saturday. Kev wanted to make wings so we had some people over. By the time I remembered to take a picture, Drew, Courtney, Allie, and Curtis had already left. But Michael, Mandy, Loli, me, and Eric made the picture. We are smiling because we are happy the game was over!

Childbirth Preparation Class Weekend

Here is me at 26 weeks pregnant! Next week I start my 3rd trimester. It is getting close. My sciatic pain seems to be all gone....knock on wood.
Here is a close up of my baby bump. It gets bigger everyday and Baby Monkey loves to kick all day long. She is an active little girl :)
Kevin is brewing up a batch of beer. It will be an Amber Pale Ale. It is his 2 favorite beers combined into one. It takes a couple of hours to brew, then it takes 2 weeks to ferment, and then 2 weeks in bottles before it can be drank. So in about a month or so, we'll know if it tastes good. Generally all of his home brews are really good. I'm going to make him save one for me! It has been torture not being able to drink!!!

It was a slow week, so I thought I would add a picture of our current baby. Isn't Guido sooo cute? I don't think he has a clue that I am pregnant. He doesn't seem to notice my belly at all. It will be quite a surprise when we bring her home. He loves babies and kids, though, so I think he will be really excited. We just have to keep him from licking her to death! We already have a spray bottle bought in preparation.

This weekend Kevin and I had our Childbirth Preparation Classes at Mary Birth Hospital for Women. This is where our Baby Monkey will be born! This hospital delivers more than 8,000 babies (more than any other hospital in all of California). It is such a popular hospital that some people in our class will be driving over an hour to deliver there. It is only a 15 minute drive from where we live. We feel pretty good about that. We also received a tour of the hospital and were really impressed with the rooms. They make childbirth seem like one long relaxing yoga session......I'm not falling for that :)

We had our choice of either 6 Saturdays in a row for 2.5 hours, or a crash course over a Saturday and Sunday from 9-3. We chose the crash course (we couldn't miss that much college football)!

It was pretty interesting, but it sure did consume our weekend.

Victoria's Birthday Party!

UPDATE ON THE PREGNANCY: I am 25 weeks pregnant and feeling good. Baby Girl Seiple is kicking up a storm! I have a little bit of sciatic pain, but nothing too major. All in all, everything is going well.

Victoria had her 30th birthday party at a wine bar on Saturday. It was a really good time. She had asked me to make Buckeyes for her celebration. I made a double batch.....93 buckeyes! From Left to Right (Melissa, Victoria, Me, Lauren). Victoria has her wine glass up to my belly in an attempt to get my baby started early :) Baby Seiple has soo many good role models her in San Diego :)

Here Victoria is again, feeding my baby alcohol......

This is Lucas and Victoria picking on each other's moles.......I think

This is Lauren and I. I brought non-alcoholic wine to the bar so that I could feel special and hold a wine glass. It really doesn't taste too bad.

Lucas' face is priceless! Lucas is Lauren's boyfriend. I am not sure why half of my face made this picture....

Here is Melissa and Lauren. BTW: we were not required to wear black to this party, it just seemed like everyone did.

Here is Melissa, me and Lauren hugging the host, Lance. Lance is Victoria's husband.

Here is Lauren and I attempting to take pictures like MaryKate and Ashley Olsen. Apparently they say the word "prune" every time they take a picture so that their lips look more plump and their cheekbones look better. I think Lauren has it down. I, on the other hand, look like my cheeks are being sucked into my face :)

Michael's Birthday Party!

Michael had a great birthday! He is a giant gator fan and we went over to his place to watch them CRUSH LSU. He was ecstatic! There were lots of saki shots (every time Florida scored). This is Mandy getting ready to cut the cake.....I think :)
What do I say for this picture, but CLASSIC!

Pimp and Ho Party!!!

Lauren had a surprise party for her birthday and the theme was pimp and ho. I had never been to one of those parties and I had to go all out (of course). I tried to look like Joy from My Name is Earl. I decided to sport the pregnant belly with pride! The above picture is of Melissa and Me! My tattoo reads "I love Billy Bob" and yes, that is a beer can in my boobs and condoms in my bra.
Here is Loli, Mandy, and me (but our ho names were Candi, Laquesha, and Peggy)
Kevin and I. Kevin's wig just cracks us up.
Mandy and Michael
This is a quick detour from the Pimp and Ho party. Earlier in the week, I had dinner with friends at Soup Plantation. It was soo good, I am pretty sure I gained 10 pounds in one sitting. From left to right we have: Kim, Loli, Sally, and Mandy
Back to Pimp and Ho party, here is Victoria and Dave
Laquesha and Candi :) Working the room.....
Me and Birthday girl, Lauren! Check out my shoes. I wore those at my wedding. Gosh, I am a classy lady :)
Dave again. A.K.A Thugg
Kim! This is actually a cute picture! She could of used my red lipstick.....

Daddy Baby Shower!!!

Now we know why babies cry. It is damn near impossible to drink beer from a baby bottle!

Zach (in the blue shirt) demolished me on the beer chugging race

Emily kinda looks like a baby lamb! Baaaaa!

This ain't no sippin' drink....oh wait, it was!

Recovering from the headache due to a very long beer chug race

I can so wear this!
Baby monkey gets a baby monkey teether
This thing is awesome! Imagine the bunny costume from A Christmas Story, but cute and a teddy bear
No more stone-age boiling to sterilize my bottles...it's microwave time!
After 6 hours of partying, I could use 12 washcloths to clean me up.

Rita and Nina, the 2 main organizers of the event. Which was a hit, ladies!
Check out how awesome this rec room is too. That's about a 60" tv on the wall back there! Great for football thanks to a multitude of surround sound speakers.

Someday Damien's band Splitfinger will be world famous, so just remember you saw him here first. Colleen is his main squeeze, and also my manager! Damien is as tall as me, so she can't get away from being reminded she's 5'3"

Megan, a.k.a Scrappy, and I ham it up just a little for the camera.

Who invited gang members? I didn't know Kyle rolled with Canton, Ohio thugs.

It took a while for the girls to fill these...with melted candy bars. Try and guess which candy bar and you win...a miniature can of Play-dough!
Words of Wisdom: Don't leave a diaper in the microwave too long (or ever for that matter)
