naps, naps and more naps

We were sad to see Grandma go. She was a great help and both Hayden and Quinn miss her.
Quinn has had a very busy week napping. She is sleeping really well at night (about 4 hours), so both mom and dad are feeling really rested. She is also eating a ton and growing! When we left the hospital (last Friday) she was 6lb 6 oz. On Monday (at the Dr's office) she was already 7lb 1oz.

She loves her naps!

So comfy...

pucker up!

When she is awake, she is quite alert - checking everything out

she also throws out the occasional "peace" sign :)

Saturday was a day of college football (Go Bucks) and napping. Here is Hay all crashed out

Introducing Quinn Isabel Seiple!

Quinn Isabel Seiple was born on Sept. 14th at 1:21am. She was 6lb 8oz and 19.5 inches long. She is healthy and beautiful! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers during the last few weeks before her delivery. We really appreciated it and we know it worked! We are blessed and lucky to have all of you in our lives and VERY, VERY blessed for our little Quinn. Shortly after Quinn was born, she and daddy took a much needed nap! It took awhile for Quinn to get here. We went to the hospital at 6:45am on Tues. and she wasn't born until 1:20am on Wed.
She loves being swaddled

Hayden got to come to the hospital and meet her new little sister. She was interested in Quinn for about 2 minutes and then ignored her. Grandma Kuhlman was in town as well and was very helpful. She stayed with Hayden while we were in the hospital. She cooked dinners, made casseroles, helped with feedings, etc. We were sad to see her go!

Quinn had LOTS of visitors at the hospital. Auntie Loli even decided to hold her.

so did Auntie Lauren. Lucas.....not so much. Quinn is going to have to work on him :)

Of course Uncle Yogi held Quinn

On Friday (early afternoon) we headed for home. Quinn was ready to see the world and I was ready to be home!

Isn't she the cutest little nugget?

Proud Mom!

Proud Dad!

Like most babies, Quinn has been very active. Here she is sleeping.....

crying.......

sleeping again......

eating......

and updating her Facebook status along with Daddy and Hayden.

On Saturday, we watched the Buckeyes. Hayden kept an eye on her little sis. There was NO WAY Hayden was going to share her dolls with Quinn.

Once she realized that Quinn wasn't after her dolls, she lighted up and decided to hold her little sis. Hayden is actually very good with Quinn. She will get out her diaper when it is time for a change, bring her bottles into the kitchen, etc.

She is a proud big sister

so cute...

Hayden read Quinn and Auntie Mandy a book

Auntie Mandy and Quinn

Daddy and Hay are rooting for the Buckeyes. Clearly it didn't help

On Sunday we went to Mandy and Michael's to watch the Chargers. Hayden had fun in the cowboy hat that their neighbor Laurie brought over. She kept saying "yee-ha!"

Chillin after the long and exciting weekend!

Blackout

Mom came into town this weekend (as Quinn is due this week!). She has had an exciting visit. We had a 7 hour blackout on Thursday that went all the way into Mexico and Arizona. Being 9 months pregnant, I was not amused to have no cell reception, computer, lights, and fans (it was hot!) Power has been restored and I am very thankful! So we spent this weekend having quality time with Hayden before Quinn's arrival. Hopefully, our next blog will be pictures of Quinn! Stay tuned......
Close Buckeye game on Saturday. I LOVE this picture!!!

Mom brought out a bunch of my old dance costumes. Once she put this tutu on and the ballet slippers and head band (from Auntie Stacy) we could not get her to stop dancing!!!

Another dance costume. I didn't start dance until the 2nd grade, so I probably wore this in the 3rd or 4th grade. I think Hayden is going to have the Seiple height. I was definitely short as a kid!

This was my first dance costume. I was in the 2nd grade and I was a little dutch girl. Hayden had so much fun in these costumes. She danced all around the house. I am glad mom saved them!

Hat and all! So cute!

Happy Labor Day

Hayden had a busy Labor Day. Here she is sleeping on the way to a party at Donna's for Jim's birthday.
She LOVED swinging on the swing with Emily

She also loved going down the slide. She even got Dan to go down it with her!

And a kitty (a doll, not real) :)

On Sunday we chilled at the beach.
