Hayden turned ONE!!!!

Well if is official.....Hayden turned 1 year old on Jan. 29th! My parents were able to come in and visit for the week and Hayden couldn't have been happier. There she is with her Grandpa Kuhlman.
Hayden figured out how to crawl through Guido's doggy door this week.
Every morning, Hayden would get her milk and lay with Grandma and Grandpa while watching cartoons
Happy Birthday Hayden!!!
In preparation for our "Monkey Themed" party (like you couldn't have guessed that one) we pulled out the monkeys from my baby shower, blew them up, and then hung them from the ceiling fan. Hayden just kept looking up at them and saying "whoa!"
On Friday (her actual birthday) we went to Hodad's and Hayden got to taste one of the best hamburgers in San Diego. She also got to try a chocolate shake.
On Friday, we went over to Many and Michael's and we let Hayden open a few birthday presents that Grandma Jo and Papap sent her. She got a monkey beenie baby!
On Saturday, we had Hayden's party at a park in San Diego. It was a beautiful day (a little breezy) but really nice. Here is Hayden with Emily, Donna, Karla, Grandma Kuhlman, and Mandy
Lauren and Sally
Birthday cake! That is a picture of Hayden from Halloween. Yes, she was a monkey.
This was Hayden's cake.
Hayden likes chocolate icing! A big thank you to Auntie Wendi who gave Hayden her 1st Birthday Bib. It really came in handy.....

Hayden was having a great time!

Hayden was very spoiled! A huge thank you to everyone that was able to attend and for those who were thinking of us but living far away. Hayden is lucky and blessed to have such loving family, friends, Auntie's, Uncles, and cousins. Kevin and I thank you from the bottom of our heart for all of the love and support that you have given our family. We know that we are truly blessed to have you all in our lives.
Thanks Cat, Phillip, and Corrin! I am pretty sure Kevin and I are going to try to play with this! I hope there is a weight limit :)
Sooo tired, yet soooo overwhelmed......
And the party didn't end there. We came back to our place to play games and hang out. Hayden perked right up after a long nap and danced into the night! People have been asking about words she has said. She has said Mama, dadda, Puppy (once but I didn't hear it), Hi (once), Guido (once but my mom and I both heard it), Whoa, o.k., and oh yeah. I fear that with all of her gabbing we are going to have a Carli Martz #2 on our hands......

Here is a video of Hayden crawling through Guido's doggy door!

New Stairs!!!

Daddy and Hayden napping....
Hayden is totally drinking from a sippy cup now. No more bottles (what a big girl) We started her on milk last week (1/2 formula and 1/2 milk) and she is doing really well
How cute is this outfit? Thanks cousin Carli for all the adorable hand-me-downs
Hayden had her first sleep over with Uncle Michael and Auntie Mandy on Saturday while we went to Kevin's work party. She had a great time and was spoiled rotten! Michael fed her a push pop from the ice cream man.
Approximately 3 years ago, I decided I wanted to re-do our stairs. We started scraping off the paint, taking out the rungs, pulling the carpet of the stairs, etc - and then found out we were in WAY over our heads. And this is how our staircase remained for 3 years!
How ghetto is this?
So once Hayden started walking, we realized that we really had to get these stairs done. So we hired a contractor to come in and replace the rungs and the steps. Then Kevin and I (mostly Kevin) stained and painted the wood.....
Ta-Da!!! How beautiful does this look? Not only is it safe, but I think very nice looking :)
The natural wood steps are my favorite! Every time I walk down them, I smile and say "I love my stairs" Kevin wonders if the novelty will wear off.........NEVER!!!!
Ahhhhh satisfaction!

Here are some videos for ya! Per Uncle Craig's request, there is a video of her walking. Hayden has also started getting into dancing and spinning around in circles. Enjoy! And look out for the blog next week when our little monkey turns 1!!!!

Almost 1!!

Hayden will turn one soon and she is already starting to look like a Toddler............NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Last Monday night, we went over to Mandy and Michael's house for dinner. Hayden was having fun trying on Mandy's glasses
Hayden's new favorite thing is to go through Guido's toys. When Hayden was born, we brought home the hat the hospital put on Hayden's head for Guido so that he would get used to her smell. Hayden found it and thought it was really funny when I put it on her head!
On Saturday, Mandy, Lauren, Loli, Hayden, and I went to Mandy's house for Hayden's "1 year" photo shoot. Hayden will turn 1 on Jan. 29th. Mandy takes phenomenal photos and she did Hayden's 6 month photos too. We got to her house at 9am and took photos of Hayden until about 5pm! We had a great time and Hayden is a total ham! Here she is posing for Auntie Mandy.
Lauren and Loli were working hard trying to get Hayden to look up and laugh for the camera. I swear our throats were all sore from singing, counting, shouting, in order to get Hay's attention!

Hayden got pretty tired of modeling and finally crashed in Lauren's arms
On Sunday we went over to Cindy and Kyle's house to watch the Chargers game. Unfortunately they lost :(
Hayden got sick of watching the game and fell asleep with Amanda, Leo, Cindy, and Dorothy

Close Ups!!!

So I had a request (from a loyal blog fan, Stacy) that she wanted to see more close ups of Hayden. This is easier said then done considering Hayden doesn't sit still.....EVER. But please enjoy the following close up pics - this was the best I could get of my little Chunky Monkey!

On Saturday night, Kev, Hay, Mandy, Michael, Lauren, Lucas and myself went out for sushi. Hayden enjoyed edamame and avocado

more closeups. Some more scarier than others......

WOW!!

The first video is of Hayden attempting to climb up our stairs. She does this like 30 times a day - no matter how many times I say NO! We put the baby gate up on Sunday - so that problem has been solved.

Happy New Year!!!

Last Sunday we went to a bowling ally to celebrate my cousin Lynn's 50th birthday! Hayden had a great time walking around and checking things out!
Here's Aunt Karla playing with Hayden
"Daddy is teaching me proper form"
Hayden created this little "lounge" area. She leans back on her kangaroo that Cat got her and looks up at the T.V. I swear she will go blind if she continues to watch the T.V. from that close :)
On New Year's Eve we went over to our friend's (Mandy and Michael) new house! It is a wonderful house and we had a great time ringing in the New Year with our closest friends!
Hayden loved all the food!
We love taking out her pigtails! She looks liked a Crazy Person! Hayden lasted till about 10:30 - 11:00pm. She was fighting sleep because she wanted to stay up and watch more Wii Bowling. She likes the characters
Kevin and Loli
Happy New Year!!!
Happy New Year!!!!
On New Year's Day we had people come over and watch the Rose and Sugar Bowl. Go Bucks! Hayden couldn't stop laughing at Guido dressed in his Buckeye shirt and Hat. Look at her pointing and laughing in this picture :)
Guido was hating life in that hat. We only made him wear it for a little bit
"Oh cool do I look in Jenny's glasses?"
So glad the Bucks won!!!! Mommy made 112 buckeyes. We have some leftovers :)
Shannon wanted to steal Guido and take him home.
