Going Swimming

Well, we all know that Hayden doesn't like the ocean, so we thought we would take her to Auntie Sally's place because there is a 1 foot kiddie pool. We had to take many small steps to get her in the water. At first she stayed by the bench the FURTHEST from the pool
Then she came and sat by Sally, close to the pool, but didn't want to even look at us in the water.

Then she would let me hold her while I stood in the water. Eventually, she would let me put one foot in the water and create a splash.

Then she would let Daddy spin her around getting her legs wet.

After about 20 minutes, she was having a blast and we had a hard time getting her out

She loved to splash around

Running in the water

She would climb out of the pool and right back in. Her little lips were shaking she was so cold, but she didn't want out.

She even fell face first in the water. She was so petrified, she didn't realize that she could just stand up, so Kevin had to get her. But once she wiped her eyes, she was ready to keep playing. We are going to have to keep going to get her even more used to the water.

Trying to warm up after she got out. Those lips were purple and shaking!

Some people came over to Sally's to celebrate me getting another year older :) Of course, Hayden was really the center of attention.

She was having a blast!

Hayden and I shared my piece of cake. I had to eat so fast or she would have devoured the entire piece. She is her mommy's daughter :)

Fun Weekend!

We aren't quite ready for potty training, but she'll sit on her seat and read magazines.
On Saturday we went over to Mandy and Michael's. Hayden had fun playing in a bucket.

Here she is singing and using the hose as her microphone. Unfortunately, she got her mom's voice :)

Playing in another basket

Hayden was a trooper, lasting all day without a nap. By the time we got home (around 9:30pm) she was out! Here she is passed out on the changing table (which she really doesn't fit on any longer)

On Sunday we went to the zoo. Hay is pointing to the hippo

After all the walking, she needed to take a rest and pretend to sleep (fake snore and all!)

This is her "Surprise! I'm awake face" So dramatic :)

Cool moment at the zoo where we got to see a Cheetah walking on a leash to her next location.

Checking out the lemurs

After we exhausted looking at the animals, we went to the zoo playground. Hayden is obsessed with the slide. Over and over and over and over again.....

After the zoo, we went to the grocery store. Kevin and I both had our windows down. Hayden wasn't saying a peep, but when we looked back, this is what we saw! LOL!!!!

This is a video of Hayden looking at the new pictures of Allie and Grady that they sent us. Hayden loves looking at pictures. The second video is of Hayden showing a real tiger (at the zoo) her tiger doll.

Gary

As most of you know, Hayden loves Spongebob (although Dora and Diego seemed to have moved into her favorites lately). Spongebob has a pet snail (named Gary), but the snail meows. So now every cat Hayden sees she calls Gary. Mandy and Michael found this kitten. They had her at the house for a few days before putting it in the shelter. They lovingly called her "Gary." The second Hayden saw her, she said "ahhh Gary!"
On Sunday, Auntie Wendi came over and offered to paint Hayden's toes. I assumed Hayden would sit still long enough.....but she LOVED it! She sat still the whole time and couldn't wait to show off her toes. Maybe she does have some "girlie" in her

Yup, she has buckets on her head.....

doing her artwork

People always say Hayden is animated. These next 3 shots took place in the span of about 30 seconds. She sure does like making faces.

Mmm?

She got my mouth...too big for her face :)

Nice Weekend

This weekend, Hayden attempted to get Guido to play dress up with her. She got as far as tiara's on both of them....
Kissing Guido to thank him for playing

On Saturday we went with Mandy to get her dog his vaccinations. There was a couple that had a kitten in this cage and Hayden was sooo fascinated with the kitten.

There is the kitty paw reaching out to pat Hayden on the head

Here she is reaching in and petting the kitty's paw. It was really cute.

That evening, Mandy and Michael came over for dinner. Hayden cuddled right up on Auntie Mandy's lap.

On Sunday, Hayden took her nap on the coach, hugging Roo.

She then fell off the coach in mid-sleep. Kevin put her back up on the coach and that is how she fell asleep.

Happy 4th of July

Here is Hayden, using apples to exercise her OCD.
Creating her own nap time

Chillin out - watching Spongebob

On Sunday we played at the beach. Hayden loves the sand!

So much so, she even throws it in her face!

Did Daddy just lose in cornhole?

Ready for 4th of July party. Festive dress...check. Cowgirl boots.....check. A sticker on every finger......check!

Chillin with Uncle Michael

Hayden had her own dance party

Taking a breather

And we all fall down!

Hayden had fun playing with the other kids at the party. Here she is trying to be "cool" and mimic her friend.

Ending the night by watching the fireworks
