Beach Day!

This week, Hayden set up her office. She laid out a yoga mat, got her chair, foot stool (aka sit n spin) and her computer. She then got busy to work...

On a Quinn note.....I am due in 2.5 weeks! So we are anticipating her arrival any day now! I can't wait to share pics of both her and Hayden very very soon!
Thinking hard.....

On Sunday we went to the beach. Sally's sister and nephew were in town. Hayden had a great time! Auntie Loli came to the beach too and watched Hayden while I ducked out for a much needed massage.

Chillin at the beach with her juice and shades

Aiden (Sally's nephew) and Hayden played great together! Apparently while I was at my massage, Auntie Loli got Hayden to go into the ocean. She actually stood and let the water get up to her ankles. This is the first time she has every let anyone put her down in the water. Way to go Auntie Loli!

Of course Hayden crashed in the car on the way back from the beach. She was covered (head to toe) in sand

Closeup of her sandy self :)

She was exhausted after her day at the beach

She looks homeless in this photo :) Don't worry, as soon as she woke up - she got right in the tub

Diaper Party for Quinn!

Hayden is a pretty good eater. But like any parent, we get the occasional Orange Pepper on the nose. She was quite pleased with herself
We got our tile fixed so this weekend was spent really cleaning the house for Quinn's arrival (less than one month away!). There was dust everywhere from the jackhammering, pouring of concrete and laying tile. Hayden offered to help out with the cleaning as well.

On Saturday, Hayden and Kevin went to Dan and Lynn's for the annual Summer cookout. They had a great time. Hayden LOVES playing with Cassie and Emily.

Auntie Wendi makes the cutest dolls (Mr. Peepers Creatures). This is Hayden's and she absolutely loves it!

On Saturday, I went over to Sally's because (even though I protested) my girlfriends insisted on throwing Quinn a shower. I have absolutely everything I need, but I couldn't argue with the fact that I could always use diapers. So they threw me a diaper party. It was a small gathering and very fun. Tons of laughs, diapers, and great food. Even Hayden made out with some gifts. Here I am holding a ladybug icepack for Hay (from Sally). If you look, you can see a belly pic here (I have received numerous comments about how I have no belly pics) :)

Diaper shower was even complete with decorations. Who says the youngest child gets forgotten? Oh, that's right....I did! :)

more decorations

Even MORE decorations.

When I got home, Hayden was exhausted from her cookout at Dan and Lynn's, but she couldn't resist the balloons. She wouldn't let her go and demanded to take them to bed with her. We let her and figured we would walk in 10 minutes later and they would have floated to the ceiling once she fell asleep. NOPE. Here she is dead asleep and still clutching the balloons. We had to pry them from her little fingers :)

Hayden has learned all the words to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and she loves to sing it. Whenever she sings a song, she increases her decimal by about 100 points. Here she is (the little showboat) using her broom as a microphone and belting out Twinkle Twinkle. Unfortunately, she has her mom's voice :(

Water Leak

This week we had a pipe leak. So, we have been busy with contractors jack hammering, filling the holes with concrete, drywalling, etc. We are almost back to normal. Kevin has to paint one wall and the company needs to come out and tile. The good news is, they broke 5 tiles and we have 5 tiles. No room for error!
Friday night, Guido, Hayden and myself crashed.

This weekend we spent most of the time preparing for Baby Quinn. She should be here in a month or less! I am due Sept. 15th. So we spent time cleaning, getting down bottles, car seats, etc. It was a busy weekend, but feels good to have everything ready for her arrival. Hayden enjoyed the empty boxes pulled down from the attic. Not quite sure Hayden knows what is about to happen!

BBQ and Beach

On Saturday we went over to Mandy and Michael's for a BBQ. It was Mandy's nephew's B-day and they brought a bouncy house. Hayden was in HEAVEN!!!!

She played and played in that thing....

At one point, she must have bumped into someone and got a cut under her eye. She cried for about 2 seconds, but when I took her out to clean her up, she cried harder, squirmed out of my hands and ran right back into the bouncy house! Such a trooper.

Eating her cupcake

She loves her chocolate...

On Sunday, Daddy and Hayden went to the beach. I stayed in because I had a bit of a sore throat. When we were getting Hayden dressed for the beach, she noticed the cut under her eye. Once she saw it, she started crying and pretending that it hurt. I put a Spongebob band aid over it and she wore it all day. Here she is lounging at the beach.

Hayden is becoming more and more interested in the ocean. She wants to get really close and see it, but still not get wet. Hay and Uncle Yogi looking out into the ocean

Hayden and Daddy found a crab.
