Southern CA Vacation!!! - LONG BLOG!!!!

Hayden got more sick before she got better. Last Monday we had to take her to the ER because she was sooo dehydrated. A BIG Thank you to Dr. Clay Seiple for being on call with us for days as we discussed her symptoms. Because of him, Hayden is 100% healthy and back to her old self. We had quite a scare, but she is a trooper and a fighter! We love our Dr. Clay!!!!
This was Hayden's IV at the ER as she was getting fluids. It broke our hearts to see her soo weak, but the fluids really helped.
Shanda, Kirt, and Carli came in on Tuesday. Hayden was still pretty sick that day, but by Wed. she had the energy to get off of the couch and want to color with Carli.
And by Thursday.......SHE WAS KISSING MINNIE MOUSE!
We spent 3 days in Disneyland and we all had a great time! Hayden loved feeding the Fairy Godmother.

We ate breakfast with all the princesses. Carli had gotten a makeover at the Bippotty Boppity Boutique and wore a Princess Belle dress. She looked perfect and she gave a big "thank you" hug to her Dad!

Hayden really loved Minnie and Mickey

Every chance Mickey got, he would come to our table and sit with Hayden. Hayden fed Mickey her breakfast. He so loved her that he wrote her a special note that said "To my very good friend, Hayden, thank you for feeding me blueberries and watermelon. Love always, Mickie Mouse." Totally adorable!
Carli got to meet Princess Tiana and they both were soo excited to see each other!

Sick Hayden!

This weekend our poor, little monkey got sick. It started on Friday night, but we assumed that she was just teething. By Sunday, nothing was staying down and our poor girl felt awful! She is getting plenty of rest because her Aunt Shanda, Uncle Kirt, and Cousin Carli are coming in this Tuesday for a whole week....and we are going to Disneyland!!!!
How sad!
On Saturday night we went to Dave and Busters. Hayden didn't seem sick at all and loved all the games!

She loved Auntie Mandy's necklace
Daddy and Daughter
Playin Whack a Mole
Vroom Vroom!
Next week the blog will be posted late because Shanda and Kirt don't leave until Tuesday. So check back on Thursday and it should be updated....

Marisa in town

This weekend my college roommate Marisa was in town for business. The last time we saw her was 2 years ago so she got to meet Hayden for the first time. We had a great time and spent Saturday walking around Balboa Park
Sorry that this picture is sideways, but at Seaport Village there was this guy stacking these rocks with no glue, nails, etc. Purely balancing them. Pretty neat, huh?
Hanging out around Seaport Village....
Saturday night we met some friends for burgers and fries. Hayden likes wearing her Daddy's hat
This is hard to see, but she has yogurt all over her face. We let her eat it all by herself with a spoon. She ate it all, but a lot ended up on her face :)

Here is a video of Hayden saying her favorite word......."WHAT?"

Oops! Late on Blog

I am a bit late on the blog submission this week. We had a busy weekend and I will post them this week. Please check back on Wed. for cute pictures of my monkey! Thanks for your patience!

Mandy's Wedding and Memorial Day

We had a wonderful weekend! We spent most of it in Julian for Mandy and Michael's wedding. Julian is a small mountain town east of San Diego. They got married in Mandy's mom's backyard. Isn't it gorgeous?

Hayden was the flower girl. The plan was that Michael's step brother and Mandy's nephew would pull Hayden and Andre (Mandy's other nephew) in the wagon. We attempted this in rehearsal, but Hayden just cried and tried to jump out.
She lasted about 2 seconds in that wagon. She was not having any part of it!
She hated that wagon :)
The day of the wedding, we had perfect weather. It was an absolutely perfect day for a wedding! Everyone had a blast!
Daddy and his flower girl. Kevin spent the early afternoon trying to get Hayden comfortable in the wagon. He put her binkie, blankie, sucker, dolls, everything he could think of to make her happy in it.....
the cake
The wagon was a no go, so mom had to carry her. It worked out just fine.
How beautiful were the colors against those trees?
This time, I was a bridesmaid and not the minster :)
I did give a reading, though
The beautiful bride and groom
The happy family. Look how far Kev has to squat to get to my level :)
During dinner, I let Hayden play with her flower basket that was in the wagon.

Can you believe the little "stinker" climbed into that wagon on her own and wouldn't get out for like 5 minutes during the dinner!
Me, Kev, and the happy couple!
Wasn't Hayden just the cutest flower girl! The flower in her hair was made by my cousin Abby. She made it for Hayden when we were in Ohio and it matched her dress perfectly! Purely accidental as Abby had never seen Hay's dress.

Ahhh, how adorable are Loli and Yogi?
Here is Hayden opening up her gift from Mandy and Michael (with a little help from Gina)
And by the end of the night, we had fallen apart :) It was a long day and she was a trooper!
The next day at brunch

Hayden was soo tired that on Sunday night she slept 15 hours! But by the time she woke up, she was ready for the beach!

After the beach we went to Mandy and Michael's for a BBQ. Hayden LOVED all the food (minus celery). She begged everyone for the food.
